Clickteam's first (very successful) effort was a bridge from developers to users - and lot of fun. You create a new object then double click to enter the animation editor. In the animation editor you can draw with the tools provided, or you can open up your own animations from images on your computer. Back in 1994 Klik & Play was something, kids were enthusiast to play games but very few among them dared to even think creating one. Basic Platform Engine is a very lite tutorial to make the base of a platform game with Clickteam Fusion 2.0.

There you will see an option to change the 'initial direction'. You can stop the constant shaking by adjusting the Gravity scale in the Object section. Just click and drag.Ĭreating objects and graphics to put in your level is simple too. If you want the character to look in a certain direction at the start of the game: After you've selected your object, go to the 'movement' tab on the properties pane (that's the same tab where you will have selected Platform as movement). Sorry guys, not trying to bump like crazy but i figured it out just playing around with some random values in the physics platform movement properties. To create levels, it’s as simple as grabbing objects and putting them on the screen, as shown in Fig 3 below. For these sorts of physics based games, particularly 2D platformers or top down games, Fusion is great thanks to its in-built physics system. To get the character jumping, I simply told the program that when you press spacebar, he needs to jump. You can easily control many other variables such as how high he jumps, how quickly he ascends and descends, manipulate gravity and much more. Those 6 quick events are all you need to have a character running, jumping and colliding with platforms. Where it says ‘Repeat while “Right Arrow” is pressed’ – that’s an event. Extensions from these packs are compatible with Fusion 2.5.

For Multimedia Fusion 2, these packs can be downloaded and installed through an installer, whereas Fusion 2.5 users can install them from the Extension Manager.
